1992 Saturn coupe, window motor works slowly when it is warm/hot. how do I repair? Is this a switch or motor problem?

Do all other windows work ? One relay powers all windows . If all others work possible switch , window motor or window regulator ! Test for battery voltage at the switch with a volt meter , then test at the motor ! 2002 Saturn L200 Window Regulator Repair Part 1 If I were a betting man I would bet the regulator is bad !

needs a new switch or a new regulator. you can find both used and new on ebay or on getsaturnparts.com. I would go with a new one from ebay, about 100 dollars.

Quite often in older vehicles the electric window motor seals allow water into the motor which prvents them from working. If the water has been in for long enough corrosion will cause the motor to seize. Removing the interior door trim will give you access to the window regulator which can then be removed. Can be a bit fiddly but not difficult.

Ground goes through the master switch on the drivers side. Bad master switch can cause the other windows not to work. Don't forget to check the "window lock" switch in the master switch, which shuts off the other 3 windows.

is the motor turning when you press the switch if so when installed can you hear the motor running if so does your car have a cable style window regualtor if so your regualtor may be bad. but if that is not the case first try running the motor straight off of the battery one wire to ground the other to postive if the motor turns your good but if you hook it up to the oem wiring and it does not com on replace the switch. just because the drivers side switch for the passenger window works doesn't mean that you can't still have a bad switch.

that code is your egr valve or your egr solenoid.sometimes you can remove valve and clean thoroughly with brake cleaner for a cherap alternative.

Spray a good penetrating oil at the base of the plug. I use PB Blaster. Slowly try working the plug loose. I like to start the engine and let run for a minute so the head gets hot and spray the lubricant and while the head is still warm, try to remove the stuck plug. By getting the head warm, it allows the aluminum to expand a little.
