It is very easy-for starters there is no distributor,it has an ignition module which is located on the right side off the engine in front-just follow the spark plug wires.the plugs are very easy to get to. on an sl1 the plugs are right below the valve cover-just remove the plug wires and replace the plugs and probably wire also-unless the coils are bad(corroded)you shouldnt have to replace the ignition module.

Where is the distributor located for a saturn 2000?
i have had 4 saturns and none of them ever had a distributor. they have an electronic ignition system. you will find 4 spark plugs, and two coils. Each coil has two plug wires each, and the coils are mounted on top of an electronic ignition module.

While removing the engine drain plug on a 2000 saturn sl2 the nut broke and is now in the pan. I have never seen something like this, I usually see the pan being threaded. Is there a simple fix that does...
The "nut" should be a"drain plug" you mean the drain plug is broken off in the pan? . Is the pan steel or aluminum. if its Steel, then there is a "nut" welded on the inside of the pan, and it will need to be removed to repair or replace the pan.

Indicator light- looks like an upside down arrow pointing into a box of liquid- on my saturn sl 2000. Goes on after i go over about 10 miles an hour. i lost my manual long ago! What is this indicating?
the light means that your coolant level is low. after the car has sat for long enough to cool down remove the radiator cap and ad 50/50 mixture antifreeze till full. start car and ad more as required. check for visible leaks.
