All air stopped blowing in through the vents.

The other day the air stopped coming in my car. I had the air conditioning on and all the sudden no air was coming it. Even just fresh air would not come in through the vents, even when on high. What could be the problem?

I'm sorry to hear that all the air stopped coming into your car. It must be frustrating that not even fresh air was coming through the vents. Have you had the chance to have a car air conditioning professional look at it? I would think there could be a lot of different things that causes it. I'm also curious if this is a common issue related to older vehicles. http://www.thompsonsautoelectrics.com.au...

That's weird that no air would come in through your vents even though you had it on high. My truck's AC has been freaking out lately, but it still blows air. It's lukewarm, but it's still there. I think that we should probably both take our vehicles to an AC repair place to have them take a look at it.http://www.colorcountrydiesel.com/Servic...

I'm sorry to here about your car problem. I too have had problems in the past with old air conditioning units installed in cars. I assume that you can have it repaired by a mechanic. http://www.autoairclinic.com/ac_and_heat_repair.html

O air coming from air conditioning vents

  1. Check the air conditioner fuse and replace as necessary.
  2. Air conditioner system discharged. Have the system evacuated, charged and leak tested by an MVAC certified technician, utilizing approved recovery/recycling equipment. Repair as necessary.
  3. Air conditioner low pressure switch defective. Replace switch.
  4. Air conditioner fan resistor pack defective. Replace resistor pack.
  5. Loose connection, broken wiring or defective air conditioner relay in air conditioning electrical circuit. Repair wiring or replace relay as necessary.

My 03 h2 has no heat. I get cool air blowing out the vents. My defrost rear vents same thing. Then today all of a sudden, air stopped blowing thru the drv side but all other vents remained the same.

This is most likely due a failure of a part called the air temperature control blend door actuator motor and that is often caused by a sticking blend door that the motor drive operates that has become warped from the heat of the air on heat mode. The dash must come out to repair these parts.

1999 z71 air conditioning randomly stops blowing

If the air stops blowing from the vents, the problem is with the blower motor. If it doesn't come on, try slapping the motor with your hand. If it starts when slapped, replace the motor.

The air conditioning suddenly stopped blowing cold. It just blows room temperature air. It was working fine and then all of a sudden a few days ago it stopped. I have tried to put the A/C on auto climate...

you should check if there is gas on the air system, if you say the compressor its engaged all time perhaps you have a gas leak or too much low pressure on the gas system, its recomended that this work is done by a pro, as it involves hazardous gases and delicate procedures.

When I turn my vent selector to defrost on the far right (air con off)the air conditioning comes on. The dash vents will blow ambient air, but defrost setting blows air con. Any ideas?

It's normal for the A/C compressor to come on with the defroster to dehumidify the air so the windsheild won't fog up under humid conditions. You can still control the air temp. out the vents with the temp. select switch.

Air condition not blowing cold air

Is any air coming out at all?

If warm air is being blown out, then your refrigerant level is probably low. The car is fitted with a safety cut off, to stop the air conditioning system working if the refrigerant (R134a) level is low.

This cut off only effects the air conditioning, the blower would still function normally.

Heater/air stop blowing after car is run for maybe 30-45 min.

I had this same problem. Your blower is going out. Just replace the blower. Its a siple fix, and its pretty cheap.
