Have a 1994 Saturn SL. Daughter was driving and thought she ran out of gas. We put gas in it, but now it won't start. Pulled the plugs, and found it is getting gas and spark.....Any ideas what might be wrong?

You probably got gunk from bottom of tank sucked into pump after you ran it to low and now it is blocking gas from getting past. Happens often when ppl run their vehicles out of gas. You will probably need to take pump out and clean screen.
Nephew had similar problem on different vehicle - had spark to plugs, limited gas, everthing else checked. I did one thing first - check for two fuel filters - one in the tank was only screens and one in the line itself. Found a little in line filter just outside of engine compartment under car next to frame that looked like it had never been changed - partially clogged - replaced it.Almost ran but would not keep running. I had rotor and cap pulled - found that the screw holding rotor in place was loose. The rotor edge next to plug wire leads was chopped up and the cap's plug wire leads were heavily oxidized. Replaced them and got it running but a little rough. Pulled the spark plugs and found gaps from 25 - 100 ---replaced the plugs with correct gapping and it ran really well.
It sounds like your CTS isn't working. The CTS works like a choke to provide more fuel to the vehicle in open loop. When it warms up, the resistance rises and lets the computer see that and the computer backs the injectors off and then you go into close loop where the 0 2 starts talking to the computer about your mixture.
Most likely your Generator has failed or you have a battery connection isssue. But based on the info you provided it sounds like the generator. You need to remove it or take the car somewhere & have the charging system tested.hope this helps
try checking your alternator, charge the batt and then try starting car if the car starts pull off your batt terminals and if car does stall out then 9 out of 10 the alternator is shot, if it doesn't then get a ac/dc tester then put it to the post on the alternator and if it is not putting out 13.8 or 14.o then you have to try to find a short, a bad wire, or a bad ground and if you cant find one then pull it out and bring it to a aoutozone or a advanced outo and have them bench test it.
No, you might have to pull some of the intake, as thes cars use a coil over plug configuration. Trace the wire to where it goes. You can do this, take your time and take picture with digital camera before if you have never done this. Once you pull the plug, If it is brown rusty color you have a leaking head gasket. Be sure to test all cylinders with a compression tester befor putting things back together.
