Fireing order of a 2000 GMC SONOMA SLS AUT. 4.3 V-6

2000 gmc Sonoma v/6 Firing order, firing order for the 4.3L engine is 1-6-5-4-3-2.
Cylinder order drivers side 1-3-5 and passenger side 2-4-6,

You didn't mention what size engine. However the firing order is stamped on the intake manifold.

I unplugged the spark plug caps on the distributor of my 1985 2.8 liter gmc jimmy unknowing that I didn't have the firing order. What is the firing order and in which direction does it go? and which...

1-2-3-4-5-6 With numbering going down the passenger side (looking front to back)1-3-5 and down the drivers side 2-4-6. The rotor spins clockwise with #1 almost straight front .

2.0L engineFiring order: 1-3-4-2Distributor rotation: clockwise

2.5L engineFiring order: 1-3-4-2Distributor rotation: clockwise

2.8L engineFiring order: 1-2-3-4-5-6Distributor rotation: clockwise

4.3L engineFiring order: 1-6-5-4-3-2Distributor rotation: clockwise

Fireing order on the spark plugs

You don't say full size or S15 Jimmy, so hear are all the possible firing order diagrams for all engines used.

5.0 and 5.7 V8's

2.5 4 cyl

2.8 V6

I need a spark plug wire diagram for a 1985 gmc jimmy 350 engine

Most all Chev or GMC v8 engines use the firing order of 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. You have to find where #1 is on the distributor cap which is usually closest to #1 cylinder then looking toward the back of the engine go clock-wise to install the rest. Don't get too close to the headers. Plastic melts!

Cylinders:

1991 4.3L GMC Jimmy S-15 will not start. Turns over, but does not start. Replace spark plugs and wires, ignition coil, module checked good. The plugs are gettin fire but not sending it to the motor?

You need 3 things.
Compression
Good hot blue spark to all plugs.
Good gasoline and proper fuel pressure. 13-13.5 lbs on your TBI
If you have all 3 then move on to injector pulse to both injectors.

Keep me posted and recheck your spark plug wire to make sure they are not crossed. firing order 1-2-3-4-5-6 cylinder # passenger side 1-3-5 front to back. cylinder # drivers side 2-4-6 front to back
distributor #1 is located at the 7 o"clock and rotates clock wise so next distributor post on the right working clock wise is #2. Good luck and hope this helps.
