Location of heater/AC control valve that turns your ac and heat on. Is it located in or near the center console. My AC/Heater knob is broken.

The sliding switch on the console is stuck in the cold position and the knob is pulled off. Use pliers to jiggle the switch as best you can. Feel under the center console and you probably will find the cable that is hooked up to the flapper. You'll know because when you jiggle the cold/heater switch at the upper console, the cable will move slightly. At the hookup of the cable to the flapper down under the console (passenger side) try to work the flapper loose to the open (or close) position. At the same time work the sliding switch (with pliers). The flapper will come loose and function properly. Try not to knock of the AC button like I did in the process. It flew off some where under the passenger seat. I'll find it sometime before summer. Ha.

Replace the knob, this doesnt have some valve you can just change to make it switch, this is a blend door with electrical actuator that moves the door from hot to cold air and also turns on or off ac depending on if that has a separte switch else where on control, you would have to remove the actuator and move the door and then some how jam the door so it doesnt move, i think its easier to replace the knob or use plier to twist the shaft of the control where the knob did.

Heater valve location

It's a vacuum line to control the valve? It will connect there at valve and run into and under the dash to the back of the heater control panel. All the vacuum control hoses for the heat and AC are in a pod that connects to the back of the heater controls. A vacuum line from the engine is also there, the pod will send the vacuum signal out to various doors on the heater/AC case, as the controls demand. One also goes to the heater control valve.

2002, VW Passat, 2.8 Liter, 30V, ATQ No heat, Climatronic System. Control module is good, Fluid levels are good, thermostat good. Can't find the Heater Control Valve, need the location for this valve???

No heater valve on this car. Heat is controlled with temperature doors that blend the ac and heat to give you the desired temp. The core is probably clogged. It usually does not clog until the coolant wont pass through it but the fins get cruddy and don't transfer heat to you. Try taking the hoses off the core and blast water and air through it then retry the heat.

Heat not working

Try locating the heater hoses. Start with the vehicle cool and turn it on and wait till the engine temperature reaches the correct temperature. This should send fluid through the heater hoses. Feel the heater hoses for a change in temperature. If there is no change in heat after a while the problem is in your thermostat. If one heater hose is hot while the other is not than the problem is in the heater block. If both hoses are heating up then the problem is probably in the climate control knobs or wiring that controls the blend doors or may even be the blend doors are broke and are not opening correctly to allow heat into the vents. This could also be a problem if the ac does not get cool either.

Lancer ES 2003 Hot/Cold knob won't turn. Snaps back to where it previously was. Mechanic said would be very expensive to replace all cables and doors opening and closing air ducts. I'm wanting to try...

You have a broken mounting at the end of the cable,at the housing thats why the temp. control knob doesnt work, you can remove the center console to gain access to pivot the broken piece manually and try to modify it so you can attach the cablr

Blend motor location for heat control

I can tell you where to get the complete service and troubleshooting manuals for your exact car if that will help, the control will be on the side of the duct near your ac evaporater and heater core. Exact factory manuals are available online to everyone who wants to spend 20.00 to get them.
