On my 2004 Grand Am,the signal light clicking will not shut off after I make the turn.In the old days it was an indication that the signal light flasher needed replacing, but apparently this car does not have a flasher. It inermittenly clicks and sometimes will go off for awhile and then starts again.

SOURCE: continous clicking (signal lights)

The multi-function (aka combination) switch probably has contaminated grease in the switch contacts from wear.

See:
http://www.wikihow.com/Fix-Grand-Am-Turn-Signals

for do-it-yourself repair instructions. You can also buy a new aftermarket switch, if you don't want to take apart the existing one and clean up the electrical contacts.

For example, see:
http://www.autozone.com/Ntt,SW1414/shopping/allResults.htm
(or just go to http://www.autozone.com/ and search for part #SW1414)

For 2003 Grand Am, it was listed as "Duralast / dimmer switch", but other makes & models may go by another name.

SOURCE: I have 2001 grand am se and each time I use the

you will need tho change the signal switch in the steering column.
to replace it you will need a flathead screw driver, and a 7 mm socket and driver.

first you pop off the top cover of the steering column, there are no screws holding this just use screw driver and feed it into where the signal arm goes in and pry up

now use the 7 mm to remove the two bolts holding switch assembly in place.

pull up on switch and unplug the three connector on the back of switch.

plug in the new switch and then line up the switch back into place.
NOTE THE HORN SPRING WILL CAUSE DAMAGE IF YOU DO NOT PUSH IT IN OROUND THE COPPER DISC IN THE STEERING PLATE. just look at the old switch before removing it to see how it goes back in. (this is usually what people forget about)

replace the two bolts and cover.
you will now have no more clicky noises.

2004 Grand Am GT,Pontiac, My turn signal lights up to signal but doesn't blink and my flasher lights up and doesn't flash. Please advise

Your indicator relay has stopped working. You will need to replace the relay. If you have an owners workshop manual you can locate it yourself. Failing that ask on google for the location of the correct relay generally located in or near the fuse boxes, but can be located under the steering column. Make sure you know which is the correct relay as there maybe be the starter motor relay and others located nearby.
Good luck. S

Turn signal not working

TAIL LIGHT NOT WORKING

It can be faulty tail light bulb or its issue with tail light control switch or its wiring's are short.

Check the voltage at fuse slot of tail light.Do you receive 12 volt there. If not, then it says tail light switch is not receiving power supply.

Turn signals on my 2004 jeep don't work what to

If one of your bulbs has blown you will get a faster relay click when you activate the indicators. It sounds as though the relay itself could be sticking / broken.

Of course it could just be a blown fuse, I would check that first before changing relays
