Kia sedona 2003. 2.9 crdi engine check light

Ive got a kia sedona 2003. 2.9 crdi and the engine check light keeps coming on but only up hill or if i accelerate hard. ive tried tightning the fuel cap wich i was told can be a cause but it hasnt helped. any ideas??

    tried that nd he said there were no codes stored on the computer.

What code are u getting have the vehicle scanned for the trouble code most auto stores offer this service for fee such as auto zone / advanced auto check ur local area the trouble code will gie u a start point towards fixing ur problem

SOUNDS LIKE A CATALYTIC CONVERTER.... BUT GO TO YOUR LOCAL AUTO ZONE OR YOUR PERSONAL MECHANIC AND HAVE HIM DO A OBD SCAN IT WOULD TELL YOU ALL THE DEALER FAULT CODES.... AUTO ZONE IS FREE LOCAL MECHANIC AT LEAST $250 FOR A 10 MINUTE PROCESS

Where is the camshaft sensor on a 04 kia sedona 3.5l engine
As I don't have any information on a 3.5I engine, and my data book only lists a 2.5, 2.9D CRDI for an 04 Sedona I can only give you the locations for these. The first pic is for the 2.5 camshaft sensor and the second is for the crankshaft sensor. the second set are for the 2.9D CRDI, I hope they help.

As you have not stated which engine you want the settings for, here is the information for both the 2.9D CRDI and the 2.5 GV6 engine.

Need to recode new installed injectors kia sedona diesel 2.9LX?
If you have the CRDI engine yes codeing to be done. It will run without codeing but you wont get the benifit of the fuel economy. I can do it for you if your in manchester as i obtained the kia tool to do just that.

Have a 2007 Kia Sedona. Car is losing power, especially on upward grades. Finally got spark plugs changed and believe they were the original plugs, cause they were really bad and one had cracks in it. ...
kia's have small engines. ive owned 3 . they all have no power on hills and they all had loss of power with the a/c on . and to answer your question loss of power can also be caused by catalytic converter. yes could be plug wires,coil,fuel injectors need cleaned, air filter, tranaxle fluid low or over full, fuel filter,emission system,list goes on

check fuel pressure with engine off but key on, sounds like a possable problem with the pressure regulator, or maybe a weak fuel pump or bad fuel filter

Orange engine light comes on ,then engine cuts out .the light is the shape of an engine.it only comes on when i demand power, such as going up hill.the engine cut out when going up a steep hill.thanks.
that is check eng light. you need to take it to an autozone or similar parts store and have the codes pulled. then post up what codes you have with there breif desc. so we can further help you

Does the 2003 Kia Sedona have a Timing Belt or a Timing Chain
It has a timing belt, if you are gong to replace the belt. It's a good thing to replace the water pump to since it needs to come off. Water pump's are not that expensive, but the labor is and since your going to have to remove it. Might as well replace it is what i tell everyone and then you know your good for a few more trouble free years. Good luck and hope this helps.
