Engine not running. Lights on. Oil light on dashboard when key turned.
That means that your oil light is working correctly... that is actually your oil "pressure" light and if your engine is not running the sensor is telling the computer that there is not oil pressure. Once your engine is started then the light will go off
Sorry, i did misunderstand. please explain your problem more and what kind of answer you are looking for
This off the top of my head may not have anything to do with the oil pressure light as it will be on when the key is on but the engine is not running. If the light was on and the engine was running well that is a different story. What i would check first is the fuel pump, that sounds like it may have alot of play into this problem. Check your fuel pump fuse and also when you turn the key on listen for the whine to know it is pressuring up.

No. The engine will not start. When you jump the battery it starts for a few moments then dies again.
Trying to troubleshoot what the problem might be caused from and how I might fix it. The car was driven, then pulled to a stop and the engine died. Would not start again, but fans worked and the oil light was lit. Battery (new in the last 4 months) was jumped, started then died again.
Any ideas? Car had sat for a few weeks without being driven but was driven 3 times in the last few days, although not very far.
