If the light is only turning on during acceleration or deceleration and then goes off, this is normal. If the light is constant, and you are sure you have oil that is up to the "full" or "max" level on the dipstick while hot, then it might point to a faulty oil pump or worn gaskets that will no longer prevent the oil from staying in place in the engine. Is this light accompanied by a check engine light. If so what is the code. You may also have a faulty oil sensor. Hope this helps

well i have gotten my car checked they even put it on the machine the only things they said is my coolant needs to be flushed and i need a new air filter
u need the oil pressure tested with a special mechanical test gauge, was the light on when they checked it?
OK keep driving it until the engine burns up then OR have a shop check this ASAP!!@.
