1994 Grand Cherokee Transimission Problem

sounds lik ethe torque converter is going bad

Change your ignition coil. Mine wouldn't start in the cold. I had to give it gas & it would backfire until it warmed up.

this is normal, the oil is cold and thick. wait a few minutes for the transmission to warm up of a morning, also consider servicing the transmission and replacing the oil.

I'm having a problem with my tranny not wanting to shift automatically at all. Seems like a dead stop its stuck in low gear. Have to manually shift and does not go into overdrive. I have a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Can anyone help me cause I've swiched out throttle control sensor, filter change, new tranny cooler and heavy duty lines. I'm at a loss and scratching my head. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

these jeeps have a problem with the crank position sensor which cause most all of the issues with no spark condition, it is located on top of the transmission where it bolts to the engine(bellhousing)

Change thermostat.

change transmission fluid & filter

there is a oring between the block and the filter housing. be carful because changing that oring is a pain kdc744

1994 is the same as 1997. parts are interchangeable
