Hi my 95 jeep grand cherokee's transmission has been slipping. I noticed that there is a leak on the bottom in two possible places. I see a black tube hanging down leaking small amounts, then also under the bumper there is fluid on there also. I've been trying to look up the solution but no luck.

12 is a battery disconnect within the last 50 start cycles and 55 means the end of the diagnostic cycle. Basically the computer found nothing wrong. The 12 code may seem incorrect if you haven't disconnected the battery recently, but from my experience the 12 code shows up almost all the time regardless.

Transmissions can leak anywhere there is a seal, fitting or gasket. Most common leaks are at the trans pan gasket and fittings.. However, to find a leak the only way is to get under there and look. A mid sized leak will clean off road debris and leave a track. Keep in mind that all leaks run down and that while driving this can be blown towards the rear of the vehicle. If you find a suspicious area, clean it off with a rag & some solvent and run vehicle...watch that area for seepage. Also check cooling lines to radiator. Fluid coming from inside bellhousing indicates a bad front seal (requires trans removal to repair) Fluid should be (for aw4 units) Mercon, or any quality synthetic that covers mercon application.

Just a heads up, $10 bucks will buy you a seal kit for the P.S. pump. I topped mine off for a couple months, then the oring on the high pressure line (from pump, front center) blew and dumped the reservoir in a matter of miles.
The line can be a stinker to get off, recommend driving the car for a few minutes to heat up the pump a little. Don't forget the 20MM wrench.

I suffered a similar failure on my little Rover. I think you will find out the resistor on the blower has had it. It is probably similar in theory. The resistor block contains several resistors. As you alter the blower speed, different resistors are used. One of yours has obviously failed. You need to replace the resistor block, which may be located at the back of the engine bay, on the passenger side, under the wiper module. Or you can remove the resistor block and replace the failed resistor - a competent auto-electrician can do this, or advise you how to.

Pretty sure there's a nut around the front where the shaft goes in, you may need to remove bottom panel to get your hand behind, then push small button on switch to disengage the shaft.

There should not be any tubes hanging down from the transmission, unless its running from the front axle.it would be a vent tube. What color is the fluid leaking? Its sounds to me like the transmission is low on fluid, The leaks that i think u are referring to are your transmission cooler. there are 2 1/4" lines coming out of the right side of the transmission that run directly to the front of the motor by the engine radiator. I would check the condition of the cooler up front you may have to remove your fan shroud to access it.
