I have a 1997 Chevy Lumina LTZ with the 3.1L engine. The serpentine belt broke and needs replaced. I am trying to find a diagram or picture of how the new belt needs to be run through the pulley system. Thanks.

Easy job on those vehicles. Usually need a wrench that fits over the belt tensioner, and you raise or lower it, taking tension off the belt. then just slip it off the nearest pulley-often the alternator pulley. Now you can let go of the tensioner and remove belt. Notice how it is fit. There should be a diagram on a sticker of how the belt fits on.
Usually it takes a special tool or a crowbar to take the load off the tensioner to remove the old belt and install the new one. Make sure you have a diagram of the belt routing before you take the old belt off.
There should be videos on Youtube for GM engines.
