It must be a soft top? but if not does it leak when you turn or is it there in the morning when you get in? It could be the vent on top right behind the hood

Jeep grand cherokee larado 2001 water leaking into floor board causing rust and problems...

water on floor comes from 2 noteable areas one is a leaking heater radiator or hoses and second is the drain hose for the a/c is kinked broken or blocked. Sometimes in severe conditions leaves and dust build up in the plenum chamber ( that area with the grill in front of the windscreen and the drain hoses here rust out letting water into the cab. Most noticeable after rain

2004 jeep grand cherokee. there is water in the driver side floor, front only. i have "mopped" it up several times and it keeps coming back. what is the issue?

If you aren't loosing coolant, check the short stub hose on the engine side/passenger side of the firewall and make sure it's not obstructed. That is the drain for the a/c evaporator.

Air conditioner draining in floor board

It sounds like the evaporator pan drain is plugged or worst case the evaporator is rutptured.Try clearing the drain, open hood and look on lower rightside of firewall for a very short rubber hose.Use small screwdriver and clean out hole.Hope it's just plugged.

Rain water in coming in at the floor board of my 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee (passage side only) what can i do to stop this?

First you have to determine where the leak is coming from. You could have a windshield leak and it is running down and collecting on the floor. The floor boards could be starting to rust out , a door seal could be bad. This is a problem that will take time and patience to find. Once you have determined where the leak is coming from then you can procede with the proper repairs.

Water leak on the passanger side of a 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport

The first place I would look is the floor board caps. Make sure one or more of them aren't pushed up, allowing water to enter the cabin. Also, because your defroster is probably on while it's raining, make sure the A/C drain plug isn't clogged. It's a small rubber fiting that sticks out from inside the firewall, behind the engine. Simply pull it out and clean it. When you pull it out, you might be surprised to see water coming out of the hole!

Just a couple things to check. I hope this helps! :)

Water coming in to front passenger floor when it rains

The heater/airconditioner box under the dash has a drain hose to allow condensation to drain when the air conditioner is running. If this hose gets plugged, rain may accumulate in this box also (if it's raining heavily), as it comes in through the fresh air intake.

Look on the engine side of the firewall, probably on the passenger side, for a hose coming through the firewall that is not connected to anything. It is usually short, has a 90 degree bend, and the open end is down. Make sure that the end of this hose is not plugged.
