Low beam headlights sometime will not go on, or go off after using highbeams.

low beam not working could be relay or bad contact at stork control. Fog lights should only work with park lights on. not supposed to be on with headlights like in the movies. This is illeagle in australia to have head lighs and fog lights on together as well as being dangerous to other motorists

Have an escort si 1996,the sidelights, rear lights, front and rear fog lights.normal beam is ok and the brake lights.could this be a relay or the stalk as i have checked the bulbs and fuses.

do you not have High beams? or are they dim? If dim sounds like alternator. If no high beams then steering column light switch bad.

Left headlight is dim - like it has a bad ground. Right is fine. DRL are same as regular lights. High and Low beam on left same dim condition. Fuses are OK switch checks OK. Replaced the relay with no...

i think you hit the nail on the head with the ground problem,if you remove the bulb from the head light assembly, wiggle the black wire to see if the bulb gets brighter,if it does remove the bulb and clean and tighten the ground wire end.if it does not get brighter from a wiggle, connect the ground end of a test light to the positive post of the battery and probe the black wire, test light should light,if so replace the light socket.

My left headlight highbeam light works and the lowbeam don't why

the filament on the low beam burnt out. but the high beam didn't. You have a filament for each. 1 for high beam and 1 for low beam in the same light bulb. You need a new head light.

Euro low beam right side brighter than left side

You have a bad ground on the left low beam. Using a test light connected to ground see what wire is positive with low beams on. Using a piece of electrical wire connect one end to ground and with the headlight connector connected to the headlight and headlights on stick the other end into back of the connector at the ground wire. If the light gets brighter, you can cut the original ground wire to the connector ( 2-3 inches from headlight connector) and run a new wire from ground and connect it to the wire at the connector. Hope this is helpful.
