Fig. : Cylinder head torque sequence, 260, 307, 350 403 Oldsmobile built engines

Head tourqe specs for 403 olds and bolt tightening - 5c04c01.jpg

On the V8, tighten the bolts, in the sequence illustrated, to 100 ft. lbs. When all bolts have been tightened to this figure, begin the tightening sequence again, and torque all bolts to 130 ft. lbs.

On V6's, tighten all head bolts in sequence to the following torques:
* All except bolts 5, 6, 11, 12, 13 and 14 - 100 ft. lbs.(19-135.5 Nm)
* Bolts 5, 6, 11, 12, 13, and 14 - 41 ft. lbs. (19-55.5 Nm)
* All bolts except 5, 6, 11, 12, 13, and 14 - 142 ft. lbs. (19-192.5 Nm)
* Bolts 5, 6, 11, 12, 13, and 14 - 59 ft. lbs. (19-80 Nm)

Hope this help (remember comment and rated this).

What are the cylinder head torque specs for a 1999 cadillac deville 4.6l

I can help you with this but I have to ask one question. Have you already taken this apart and putting it back together? Did you rethread all the head bolt holes because they strip out when you tighten them and you will ruin the head gaskets. Let me know, I have don't this job quite a few times. I'll have to look up the actual torque specs. Also you are wanting the spec for the cylinder head bolts and not the cylinder head cover bolts right?

Need tourqe setting for head and intake bolts on 2000 land rover 4.0

Well, remembering that the head bolts are stretch bolts, which you tighten to 20nm (15lbf.ft) then turn 90 degrees, then a further 90 degrees :)
The inlet manifold you initially tighten them to 10Nm (7lbf.ft), then it says for the gasket clamp bolts you do those to 18Nm (13lbf.ft) and finally to 51Nm (38lbf.ft)

Head bolts

I'm assuming you meant a 1.8L 4V, if so the torgue settings for the head bolts are
stage 1: 30 ft-lbs
stage 2: 44 ft-lbs
stage 3: Angle-tighten a further 90-degrees
stage 4: Angle-tighten a further 90-degrees

Also I recommend you buy new cylinder head bolts from the vdub dealer, they say you don't have to with a gas engine but only with diesel engines you should, from my past experience it felt like the old bolts were going to snap off to be safe buy new ones. If you have never done this before "stage1" this means each bolt gets this one time, then after you have done each bolt at this torgue then you do the bolts again (stage 2) with this torgue ect. Remmeber to always cris cross your bolting and work from one side to the other the same time for each stage. Vdubs 4-ever !
