its not a fun job,you will need to remove a spacer that is mounted between block and engine mount on front of engine.there are 2 belts on this motor.if your on the passenger side of car looking at engine its to the right of mount its a stud with nut then remove stud it is 15mm nut you will need a e40 or 45 to remove stud good luck,mike
It is located to the left of the cabin air filter. in the wiper cowl. Look above the power steering reservoir and AC dryer canister. A multi - pin harness will protrude from it.

generally if this vehicle is equipped with a timing chain and gears that would be suspect...the chain/tensioners wearing out...possible water pump bushing but you should see a fan blade wobble or signs of coolant leaking from below...I have seen A/C compressor clutches coming apart that create one hell of a noise before they let loose.... even serpntine belt tensioners can have bearing problems and sound like hell.
