What engine? Will it stay running if you keep your foot on the gas?
Try your TPS throttle position sensor. They tend to idle up and down for a while before they quit altogether. Good Luck
I am by no means a Ford Tech. But, I have owned them and worked on them. Your particular problem is why I no longer own them. Constant chasing of sensors. Ugh. If the truck was in an accident of significant force then there is a fuel cut off switch that is activated. In the event of a rollover or impact the switch is thrown and the fuel stays in the tank. Contact a Ford dealership. They should be able to tell you if your truck has this switch and where it can be located. They should be able to tell you anything else you might need to know about any other sensors. Also, they should be able to print out any diagrams you need and give them to you over the counter. Good Luck.

Look for a vacum leck, simple carb spary or WD-40 spray it around the intake NOT the air box and see if the rpm's go up. If so the start listen for the sucking sound use the spary to help pin point and fix.
Good luck

Fuel pressure and the fuel pump is only one reason that this can
happen. It could also be related to your ignition system or your
emission control system.
You should check for any diagnostic trouble codes. With this codes will can have more clues.
Good luck.
To much carbon around the throttle plate at idle setting.
use some carb cleaner spray around the plate.
remove the air intake tube to the throttle body.
and clean the black carbon around the throttle plate,
or
ignition switch is bad.
did you spray it out?
broken abs sensor will not prevent or change the running conditions of the engine system or transmission systems at all in anyway.
it will only prevent the braking system from prefenting braking to that wheel if it locksup in the rain or ice.
if the abs system is not complete in ant way the abs system goes in to default mode.
and the abs light will be on.
so on the matter of the engine not staying running.
can you keep it running by feathering the gas pedal?

Check the codes from the computer if possible. Auto Zone will do this free of charge in any US state but California. It sounds to me the throttle posioning sensor is at fault
Hi! Please check or replace the fuel filter. It may be clogged with dirt and rust from the fuel tank thats why the fuel flow is interupted which can cause a bad run. Hope this helps.

Could a broken ABS sensor make the truck do this?
No it used to run but it would run crazy like jumping rpms up and down but know it wont even do that. but when you presed the gas pedal it would just die.
Whats the sensor on the vacum lines could that cause this?
i was in a wreck and could not get the fuel pump to turn on so then i wired it up and now its giting the right pressure but it will just start then die.
i changed that and that didnt do the trick.
What is the sensor on the vacume line? and if this was bad would it be doing this?
