Which marks on the pulleys do I use?
Both cams have an arrow on inside of pulley and have a line scored on the outside. The main crank has a mark on one of the teeth ( not inline w/ alignment key)
If lined up -- can the alignment be 180 out? main crank to cams is a 2:1

Your left and right cams have a indentin in the sprocket the plastic cover has a notch in the top the both have to be straight up.
the crank gear also has a mark and it has to line up with the timing mark there your belt will turn the drivers side cam when you remove the piston tensioner youll neeed a vise to squeeze it back in get a allen key to put in the outter body and then through the pin bolt it back on and have your belt ready when you puul the pin it will advance your cam sprocket it may take you a few times to see where you will need to position it to get it to hit the correct location once you release the tensioner
once you get them correct wrapp it all up well you better crank the **** out of the harmonic bolt put a screw driver or something to hit stop your flywheel and torque it down as tight as you can get it if you dont the bolt will loosen after a while backing out of the threads and it will warp your key way and your pully and possibly your crankshaft im the only one i know that can fix a motor like that thats now ruined that key way holds your timing without that your motor is shot so make shure that bolt is tight i have seen many mechanics fail there and a engine is ruined now i can notch a new key way and a new pully and fix one that is warpped you better know your subarus to be able to do that.
