and decide to run the shorter belt and they sell them, no AC.

As long as you don't run it without the fan belt, nothing should be damaged by a broken fan belt, but. . .

If something broke or seized and caused the belt to break, then that is a very different story. Check things like water pump, AC, alternator, etc.

Check to see if the AC belt turns anything else, like Power steering, Alternator, Fan, etc. I had a car with defunct AC once, and took its' belt off (the belt was just for AC) with no problems.

Make sure that your drive belt and ac belts are tight. A loose belt will look like many problems. Also could be your ac compressor. They have ac compressor lubrication in a can just like the freon. You can notice the extra strain the ac puts on the engine when you turn it on and especially at idle. So 1. Make sure belts are tight and in good condition, if not replace. 2. Check freon level in ac. If freon level is okay add ac oil conditioner.

i purchased the AC delete belt...do i have to remove anything to properly install? or do i just take off old bet and put on short belt and crank tensioner the correct way? it seems that the ac compressor pulley is in the way?

Talk to your automotive supply. My understanding is that a Non-AC belt will run right thru the area where the AC pulley is. You can get a bypass pulley that will allow you to avoid the AC and it's pulley and a specific belt for that setup.

Yes it is the auto parts store can look up your car and get a belt for the same motor without AC if noe is listed without ac take a string and run it aroud all the pullys and don't include the A/C then mark the string and then can then mesure the belt and find a belt for you. if i remember right those belts are not together cuz your car has two belts on it one that goes from the crank pullel that runs the a/c and alt and then one thats from the crank to the power steering

Don't know what engine you have, but as long as that belt only drives the AC you should be o.k. If the AC isn't noisy when freewheeling, or off, you can simply unplug the connector at the compressor, but if noisy all the time, yes the belt will have to come off, just double check that the belt isn't running anything else like water pump or something on the back (smooth side) side of the belt. Be aware that your defrost etc, will take a little longer to do it's job with that disconnected as it uses the ac compressor to displace moisture(humidity) in the air.

TAKE A ROPE AND RUN IT AS IF IT WERE A BELT ALONG THE ALTERNATOR AND CRANKSHAFT. MEASURE THE LENGTH OF ROPE THEN GO TO PARTS STORE TO BUY A SMALLER BELT. THE IDEA IS TO BYPASS THE AC BEING A 94 IM SURE IT HASN'T WORKED IN QUITE SOME TIME, I'VE BEEN A MECHANIC FOR 8 YEARS AND WE BYPASS THESE ALL THE TIME, THE TENSIONER ON THAT CAR I BELIEVE IS ON THE ALTERNATOR, HONDA MADE THE AC OPTIONAL.. BELTS ARE USUALLY NAMED AFTER THERE SIZE (IE 4060934 IS 93.4 INCHES LONG) IF NEED BE REMOVE THE AC COMPRESSOR.
