Get this attended to right away. Here is how it works: FIRST, I presume that you checked the fluid, >> following the owners manual, (as to whether warm, idling when checking, etc.)
If your fluid is up, a common transmission problem is FLUID PRESSURE. The normal use of a transmission has particulate clutch plate material that gets worn and gets picked up by the trans fluid. (this is the same as brake dust, essentially).
Sooo > what happens over time is this material blocks the filter within the trans. then not enough pressure >> much faster clutch wear, whole cycle repeats..
Have you serviced and flushed the trans, as per specified in the manual? If so, when was the last service?
