I also had such a problem, there were 2 broken wires in the driver side door wire boot, where the hinge is. was very lucky to find it.
Hi,
Sorry to hear your having this problem.
The door jamb switch will not usually cause this much of a problem. As you may be aware of electrical problems can be easy or they can be rough.
Let's assume for the situation here it is an easy one.
There are several connections in the door that can effect the entire circuit.
If the door locks work from the passenger side and not the drivers side - you will need to pull the door panel from the car to have a look see.
This is not as hard as it looks if you use the right tools.
removing the panel requires you remove the proper screws and the pull handle/arm rest. there is a removal tool for the outside of the door panel where it meets the door. I suggest you invest in one to save the value of your auto- no rips in the door panel = more money when selling.
Once you get the 'DOOR PANEL REMOVAL TOOL' - please go to your local Advance Auto - Auto Zone - Etc - and get one - -
slip this tool between the door panel and the metal it is attached to. REMEMBER - if the door panel resist - there are MORE things to loosen and here is where you become a pro - - just be PATIENT and think of ALL the money you're saving and remove every screw and panel tab etc -
Remove the panel and set it aside.
Get GOOD NEW BATTERY flash light and shine it into the door with the window up - this will show you any frayed wires etc.
make sure the wires going into the control for the windows - doors is solid and tight - and with that hooked up [ brace the panel and have a helper hold it into place as they will not work unless hooked up for testing.
If nothing changed - remove the control and replace it.
Pictures as you remove this will help A LOT - when you go to replace it -
I STRONGLY - - STRONGLY recommend someone else to take the pics as you remove things - it will help you - and yes us pros do this all the time
Best of it
Gary

Mr Riceski,
I purchased thedoor removal tool of which you speak during a previous repair job. I already have the door panel off and rain/splash seal removed. I have made a visual and physical (feel) inspection of the door panel's interior wiring, but fund nothing wrong.
I am still unable to locate the door's jamb switch. Can you offer me any assistance in locating and identifying it ?
