Need diagram on alternator belt replacement on a 1994 toyota 4 cylinder truck.new alternator installed belt now to loose.i am using the right belt ...thanks
If the same as my '94 cyl then you tighten the belt by loosening the bolt that the alternator pivots on and the bolt that tightens the alternator to it's adjustment bracket. For my truck this is neither fun nor easy. The a/c and power steering belts having idler pulleys with adjustments on them making them MUCH easier to deal with.
Thanks for all of your answers but I must have not put in all the info on my auto... It is a 2005 sienna toyota with a two drive belt system and not the serpentine belt I have put on other belts on other cars etc. but this one is close to get too... Tanx to all
Click on the following direct Link. It has several Diagrams including ones for your Belts for your specific engine. There are additional Diagrams for your future use. There are also several diadrams regarding your Alternator/Generator showing what Bolt(s) are needed to tighten the Belt(s)
