Reading the serial number from the VIN

Per my VIN, the serial number of my 1971 TBird is 129175. There was only 9,146 produced of that model. How can I tell which one of the 9,146 is mine and secondly, how can I tell where and when it was manufactured?

OK, Ready?,,,, 1S53F100001
The 1 is the year, 71, a more detailed date code is stamped into the door panel, A letter in front of the year is the month, A = jan, etc, if it goes past M, then it is second year.
S,,assembly plant(Deerborn,)etc.
53 is the body style, 2 door, 4 door,etc
F is the engine code, 390, etc
the last six digits indicate the consecutive unit number, all cars made on the same assembly line were in the sequence, don't forget, the next number in the line could have been a maverick.
The rest of the VC label, notes all the other info, color code, trim, axel, and where it was shipped. The starting serial numbers were 100,001, with the T-bird, Mustang, Torino, and Maverick on the same line. I have a 1971 Ford shop manual here, volume 3, electrical, if you are interested, It is for sale. Hope this helps.

I have the dishwasher samsung but I do not find the vin number

VIN is only for 'Vehicles' and is 'Vehicle Identification Number'. You are after the 'Serial Number'. Yes, the number you supplied is the model number.

The serial and model number for your dishwasher will be on a sticker when you open the dishwasher door. The sticker can be found on the side of the dishwasher door, the top of the dishwasher door, or on the inside edge of the dishwasher.

Engine number location for 1971 buick riviera

350 inch until 1971
The engine serial number is stamped on the front of the left cylinder bank. The production code number is between the left exhaust manifold and the two front spark plugs.

I have two jeeps cj5 1972 ,Ilike to know what means the last numbers of my vin serial numbers. One is 49280 and the other is 05821

those are production numbers. The small one (5821) means only 5820 models rolled off the production line until this one came out. The other one 49280 is some time later. If you look at the stamp on the door pillar, it should show the "build date" for that vehicle-usually shows the month and year. The #5821 probably means it was made in the fall of 1971. The other model could be late '71 or in 1972.

Bacon & Day Banjo Serial #32307 what year was it made

From around 1964/65 to 1972, used a different serial format showing, Month/Year/Production Number (3-4 digits), stamped as follows:
MYNNN or MYNNNN - (Month = 1-9 - with 3 or 4-digit production number)
MMYNNN or MMYNNNN - (Month =10,11,12 - with 3 or 4-digit production number)
(It's unclear whether the 3-4 digit "production number" is the total production for the Month - or for the Year.)
  • # 31197 would have been made: March, 1971 #197
  • BUT... #121197 could be made in either: Dec, 1971 #197 - OR: Jan, 1972 #1197

Would like to know more about the Honda PC800 what year and colour it is with this vin number RC341200086 engine number RC34e1200086.

You've given a model number, not a VIN number.

Since 1981, all VINs must be exactly 17 characters. Since this motorcycle was produced from 1989-1990 and 1994-1998, it should have 17 characters.

1989-1990 seem to only have been produced for Japan, France, and Italy. Since your model starts with RC341 it was produced for California, between 1994-1998.

If you have access to the bike, turn on the blinker and let it stay on. If it eventually turns off automatically, it is a 1994-1996. If it does not switch of automatically, it is a 1997 or 1998.

There is about a 3x better chance that it's a 1994-1996 and not a 1997-1998, based on total production numbers.

I believe most of the colors were as shown below, but can't be sure:34b6b098-0d3a-404e-8ebe-387975d74343.jpg

the following site should enable you to date your jeep from the vin number.

i think your number is between 1962 and 1971 with an open body, but you may want to double check on this site yourself.

The serial number on my old jeep truck is 3406X10258. What year is it?

I couldn't find the exact year from your serial number only a year range which is 65-71.

Your serial # breaks down as follows.

34 = 1965 - '67: J-3000 4WD, Gladiator or 1968 - '71: J-4000 4WD, Gladiator
06 = 1965 - '70: Cab & Chassis, Truck or 1971: J-2500 Cab & Chassis, Truck (This means it did not come with a bed from the factory.)
X = 1965 - '67: 6000# GVW or 1968 - '70: 6000# GVW, also console shift Wagoneer (1414X) with exterior metal type feature panels or 1971: 6000# GVW, J-4600, also console shift Wagoneer (1414X) with exterior metal type feature
1 = 1965 - ' 71: Left Hand Drive

You should be able to narrow it down a bit more, however it's going to take comparing pictures of the various years within 65-71 and looking for changes to the style such as grills, headlights etc.
