You can also go tohttp://www.jdmengineswapdepot.com/. It basically sells JDM engines, but you may just find some of the parts you need.

1993 Subaru impreza wagon cranking but will not start not getting fuel to the engine

Could be all sorts of things. If the timing belts have slipped, the engine will usually not start or run really rough. Could be the crank angle sensor (under the alternator, just above the main pulley).

If the belt has slipped, you can check by pulling the cam belt covers off. Usually its the LHS side belt that's jumped. The hydraulic tensioner sometimes works loose and detensions the belt. Rotate the engine till to top dead center on the pulley, and see if the cam pulleys are at the timing marks. If the belt has slipped, you WILL have bent valves.

How do you time a 1993 subaru impreza?

which series engine, all the 'ej' series dont have a distributor like the earlier engines, that you could set timing.Timing in the newer range are set by cambelt, computer and cam/crank sensors, and the knock sensor alters timing under load.I would need some more detail to why you want to time it?Is it idling poorly,or is it laboring or knocking under load? This model had a common fault with the knock sensor failing, which basically didnt allow the timing to vary enough when the engine was under load or accelerating.Hope this helps or supply some more detail and I can endeavour to help you.

I have a 1993 subaru impreza 4 door L sedan with

mcdevito75 here, You"ll have to manually turn the camshaft gear and other gears to re align the marks, use the starter to align the crankshaft marks. Of course you"ll need the shop manual to show you these marks. Worse case, have the car towed to you local shop for repair.

Looking for the correct timeing marks for crank and both cams on a 1993 subaru impreza and at what pisition should the number 1 cylender be at?

easy money, the crank pully cog has a little hash mark on one of the nipples and that lines strait up and down with the hask mark on the tup of the oil pump directly below the crank sensor, the two cam ullys each have a hash mark on the outer edges and the both align strait up and down with the marks on the rear timing covers.

they are the notches on the timing gears and they line up with the notches on the black timing covers back. it is a single over head cam? the middle ( crank) is straight up. they are very noticeable you well know when you see them! good luck.
