take the vehicle to an accredited windscreen repairer/ replacer and discuss the problem with them. If it can be done they will have access to the glass and will be able to tell you where to get it fitted if it requires specialist attention.

In answer to replacing the Boxster rear window; Yes, very simple; go to your nearest Mercedes dealership and buy any of their models. Your local junk yard may offer you some money for your Boxster, but I doubt it.

i've worked on auto upholstery for years and if the rear window is glass and the rubber holding it in place has seperated from the top then the top has shrunk and will have to be replaced . but if the glass and all of the fabric will still proximate then it should be repairable if you can send me a pic of the damage i can better evaluate the problem because a total replacement is between 1500 to 1800 dollars done right my e-mail is [email protected]

Nope, from my sports-car "roadster" days the rear window is either bonded in between the layers of the top or sewn-in. An auto upholstery or "trim" shop can probably put you in a new window fairly resonably. Velco, glue, etc. and the window will blow-out if you open the door window at speed. The rear-window would be sucked out at high-way speed by the draft behind the top. BTW: I thought Sebrings had real glass rear windows, like alot of "rag-tops" do these days. (back to the Model T's !)

have to remove the top to restich in window....and with labor cost so much you might just as well replace whole top...

have you tried www.bavauto.com? have seen them priced from: $324.95. if you order it through them, see if they have the installation instructions. maybe they can forward them to you to make a decision before buying the top

i have also seen them on www.ebaymotors.com.

window can be unzipped from the old top. new top will include a zipper head to insert into the old window & remove. its not the easiest job, but it can be done with patiences.

The window can be replaced just go to a foreign car used auto parts or junkyard or go to your nearest dealer for your car and have it done.
