My wife's 2007 edge won't start one night after work. I thought it had a dead battery. I replaced the battery. About three months later she said the car just quit at a stop lite and she had to restart it. Last night it was hard to start compaired to the normal starts. Any ideas?

1988 lxi honda accord battery drains overnight

Just a couple problems I've had. dome light left on due to faulty door open switch, spot light charger or equipment left plugged or wired to battery, lately I thought I had a bad battery but I just need to clean the terminal connections. One more thing if your car is running you can pull the negative cable off the battery. If the car dies your alternator could be the problem. If you have a light in the trunk or under the hood you could pull the bulb out to make sure you don't have a faulty switch turning them on. These are kind of simple and that is the way I start out.

WON'T START CONTINUOUS BUZZING FROM SOLENOID

Sounds like the battery is dead. You can try a jump start and see if the car will start. If it does I wouldn't have any issue with replacing the battery and see what happens. You can also measure battery voltage with a voltmeter. You should see 12 volts with the key off, on, or cranking. If the battery voltage is not 12 volts than it is dead or low on charge. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. Thank you for using FixYa.com!

Our 2007 odyssey the battery died after only one year. Bought new one now four days later car won't start again. We left no lights on or radio, not even the dvd player. What's wrong with this...

Battery might have died cause the altinator is not charging 14+V Please charge the battery, donot boost the dead battery. After charging the battery check the altinator output.

It would appear as though something is causing the battery to discharge - check things like the light in the trunk - make sure it turns off when you manualy simulate the lid opening and closeing. Also try disconnecting one of the battery leads then touch it to the terminal when everything is switched off - there may be a very slight spark because of the clock. If the "spark" looks much more then this proves something is drawing current from the battery which explains why it is discharging overnight. If you have after market hi-fi or any other toys then try disconnecting them if you see they are drawing power when everything is switched off.
