take it back to the dealer and have them reset the oil change data on the computer.. thats the issue with this jeep we have here .. they did not reset the oil change interval in the computer..simple fix.. sorry they overlooked it or the tech got lazy..
Change the Mass Air Flow sensor.Or the the Volume Air flow sensor.Also replace the ( IAC ) Idle Air Control. There is no code P1518 are you sure they wrote it down for you correctly? I just had my Library of codes updated last week and it is not on the list. After all repairs are made make sure you have the Diagnostic Trouble Codes Erased from the on board computers memory. This will reset the check engine light and keep it from comming on again for thoes codes.If it does come on again and it relays more DTC you can ask me for further help through the Reply Window. To mask or reset that code you need a man with a box
As there are hundreds of codes being scanned peiodically by the EMU the laptop is the only tool which will do checks and modifications to it.
On some of the newer cars you have to get the dealer to reset the codes if you do an oil change as there is a sensor in the sump which tells the EMU that the sump has been drained ?
code 12 is the diagnostic code. its only purpose is to let you know that the system is in diagnostic mode. if this is the only code you are getting, your system is fine.
