There could be 2 issues,,,either the electronic ignition switch is bad or the ignition lock cylinder internally blew apart and is stuck,,either way you will need to tale it to the dealer,,you can unplug the switch from under the column,,green connector on the end of the ignition swich

2004 ion ,key stuck in ignition after its turned off.

try turning your steering wheel from left to right while you gently try removing the key. if that doesnt work and your car is a automatic with the shifter in the center console there is a cable running to the transmission that sometimes becomes loose causing the car not to be fully into the park position.

2007 saturn ion headlights won't come on

There is a relay under the hood in the fuse box. Check that and the fuses and if they are ok, it is the BCM and those are not cheap.

It is. You have damaged or disrupted the passlock antitheft system.

This link explains and there are some solutions on there too that you can do to fix this yourself.

Turn signal right side does not work on 2005 saturn Ion quad coupe. replaced bulbs but no fix, it blinks fast like the bulb is bad. What else could cause this, no fuses for trun signals. Bulb lights up for...

I think you may suspect the hazard (4 way flasher) switch at this moment. The indicator wiring goes thru the Haz switch as standard because of the system requirments. Either a loose plug connector or improper reset hazard on / off position at switch. Good luck

2004 ion 2 quad coupe, the electric power steering goes out.

GM has just came out with a recall for this problem. It involves the power steering motor. You will get a notice in the mail if your car is involved.

Hello, i have a 2004 saturn ion quad coupe, and i shiped it overseas to use it. saturn doesnt exist in the middle east so there is no parts, i asked alot n people say that SATURN has the same OPEL parts....

Good question, the answer is "yes", "no", and "maybe". GM shares a lot of parts internationaly with Opel, Saturn, GM, Chevy, Pontiac, etc. Especialy engine parts. Chassis and body is a different story. You may find tie rods, struts, etc the same, but a headlight won't fit from one to the other. If you've got a 2004 Saturn Ion, you likely have a 2.2 EcoTec. Pretty much all EcoTec parts will fit in one form or another, from one to another. Alternators, starters, etc. You may need to swap plug locations or types, but the actual hard part should "fit". You would need to go dumpster diving to compare or contrast. I guess it all depends on what you need? the Stick

My car acts like it is going to die when I come to a stop

More likely the transmission - could be the overdrive solenoid is stuck in the engaged position.
