I would return the vehicle to where the work was done. It sounds like something such as the blend door was not reinstalled properly, or something wasn't reconnected properly.
How often has the coolant been changed? My only guess is that it hasn't and the hoses and the heater core are plugged up with goo and a flush is needed
This may be the AC compressor cycling switch is defective. It is located in the larger of the 2 AC lines coming from the compressor, it has a wire connector to it with 2-3 wires. To verify this is the issue jumper the connector with a small piece of wire and see if the compressor runs.
