1999 Chevy Express 1500 cranks over but will not start. I have replaced the fuel pump and relay, fuel filter, Ignition Control Module and Coil and the Powertrain Control Module. Engine 5.7

    Dan,

    After replacing many parts, I took it in to an autoshop. They confirmed it was not getting fuel. The cause: the security system shut down the fuel system, the key had to be reprogrammed. After 45 minutes, they had my van started. Thank You for your advice.

    even wh the engilight came on it died badvance auto said it was the computer module

Hi

Have you checked the EGR valve, and or the air flow sensor? both could cause it not to start!

Also ensure the earth battery lead has a good connection to the car body from the battery.

Please get back to me if your unsure about these parts.

The crank sensor or camshaft sensor is gone before replacing find out if it has 1 part type or 2 on 2 part usually only top has to be replaced this usually will not code on meter

I have a 2003 chevy cavalier with a 2.2 4cyl engine. I replaced the fuel filter and it is still not getting any gas up to the front. I think it is the fuel pump, because the fuses and relays are good,...
no but the ignition module control the primary circuit of coil but at the same time tell PCM the engine rpm and then give signal to injector to spray
do you hear the pump working while key on engine off for 2 sec then while cranking have someone listen at tank fuel cap off

Where is the ignition module located on 2000 chevy surburban 1500
Some GM makes and models there is an oil pressure switch that is a redundant power supply to the pump. The pump will work even if relay is unplugged, as long as switch has voltage and works properly.
That is not the case for your vehicle according to my wiring diagrams.
With coil on plug ignition, the coil itself could be called a module. The pcm also has control.

did you check for fuel pressure at the fuel rail?
listen for the fuel pump when you turn the key on
did you change the wire harness when you changed the pump?

2000 chevy express 5.0 2500 series starts,runs and dies all in 10 seconds. changed fuel pump, filter, pressure regulator, and starter(only cause sparks were comming from the solenoid)
Try swapping out the fuel pump relay, if thats good try testing your ignition system components. Start with the module and coil pack. If they are ok check the crank position or cam position sensor (which ever applies).

99 chevy blazer cranks but wont start

Start with fuel system. Listen for fuel pump humm at fuel tank No humm check wiring to pump for power. Then check for spark at plugs and wires. Remove wire from coil and hold near engine and see arch when you crank. No arch. Replace ignition Modular inside distributor cap or cap or rotor

1997 chevy silverado 1500 350 vortech, new fule pump not working
before you drop tank again, check fuses & relay.then disconnect fuel line @ filter turn key to on position should hear fuel pump run and get gas stream out of line. if no flow from line new pump faulty be sure & remove negative battery cable first good luck.
