Sounds like the ABS sensor has failed, or is unplugged. If someone did the work for you, take it back. Otherwise check the sensor on the right front. Replace as necessary. Also ask the Q at MyFordFreestyle.com

2006 escape AWD, replace front hub bearing

Rather than just the bearing, I suggest a new half shaft as the bearings and ABS tone wheel are already assembled. These Escapes are notorious for cracking the tone wheel setting off a code and then disabling the AWD system. So for a very few dollars more than it would take to disassemble the shaft , install bearings and tone wheel just get a new one.

Abs error codes 16

I'm sure the code indicates that your ABS sensor went out. It's located in the front wheel hub assembly, and to change it, you need to replace the entire front bearing/hub assembly. They are about $150 per. But it the truck is handling ok and you can deal with the light, it's not a big deal since it's just a sensor....

How to replace front wheel bearings on 2005 ford freestyle

The front wheel bearings are replaced with the entire hub assembly, we don't have the exact model info but we do have access tot he Ford Explorer instructions, which are pretty much exactly the same procedure with minor differences. Bolt torque on the new hub nut is 285 Foot pounds, you do need heavy duty tools as you will see.

Refill port for a automatic transaxle for a 2006 ford freestyle

I had the same noise on my 06 SE FWD right rear wheel. It is more than likely the rear bearing. You have to replace the entire rear hub assembly. I bought a used part for nearly 1/2 the price of a new one on eBay. Fixed the problem and not to difficult to do yourself or about 1hr labor at your favorite repair shop. Had several estimates up to 2 1/2hrs. Don't go there, one hour is enough time. Lift car, pull wheel, undo caliper from brake assembly, pull rotor out of caliper, unbolt 4 bolts holding hub assembly to brake assembly, tap hub assembly from back side, should come off pretty easy. Install new hub assembly and reassemble in reverse order. I haven't done this on an AWD so I don't know if it is more complicated/difficult. Hope this helps.

2006 Chevrolet 1500 . mechanic said computer shows rt front abs sensor bad. How do i replace it ?

Sensor will be part of hub bearing assembly, remove brake caliper, brake rotor will slide off, on back of hub bearing will be three bolt's, remove bolt's, disconnect ABS harness, and hub bearing should come off, some time's will have to used a harmmer to knock it out due to rust.
