If you look under the dash to the left of the steering colum you will see a black box, it should just pull right out. Just listen to the buzzing to find it.

1998 toyota tacoma headlight buzzer not working, how do I fix?

The problem lies in the door frame then. You will need to remove the push button in the door frame and check if it is grounded. You should have noticed that your dome light also stopped working. This is because it doesn't know when the driver door has been opened. Therefore, no alert that you left your headlights on, and no dome light. Check wiring.

Will the transmission from a 1998 chevy 1500 fit in my 2001 chevy 1500

The transmission in question is called, "4L60E" There are two versions. The 4L60E ran from 1992-1997. Then the 4L60E was updated and ran that version from (1996-2010). In 2002 GM introduced the 4L65E. So YES you should not have a problem fitting a 1998 chevy 1500 with a 4L60E into a 2001 Chevy 1500 with a 4L60E. You didn't mention that both were 2wd or 4wd. You can not convert a 2wd into a 4wd. I hope that helps, good luck.

I also have 98 neon with "door ajar" light and buzzer staying on but ONLY when all doors are closed. key doesnt evan have to be in ignition! also the dome light works perfect with the door and light switch...

sounds like their is a short in the wiring to the dome light and buzzer... i know you don't want to hear that... if it is grounded somewhere that is why it quits when you remove the bulb... possible wire caught behind the dash when you put it back together... if so that would cause the ground...

Driver's side door handle will no longer open door from inside

1st check the door hinges. Open the door, try to lift it up and down while someone watches the hinges. If there is movement at the hinges, they are worn and need to be replaced and are probably the reason u are having difficulty w/ the door.

1998 F-150 Door Ajar Light Problems

inside the doors is a Small twist in button switch on the door latch assembly that turns on the doom and key buzzer, they stick and make a poor connection, this causes your problem, i have replaced 100's of them, u will have to detrim the door to get at it. The switch is about $10 and u can get it from most parts stores, here is a picture. remember there is one on each door latch.
