I have a 2003 Chevy Express 2500. The headlights do not seem to turn off. I turn them off with the switch but they will not turn off. When I switch to the high beam both headlights turn off. sometimes when I'm driving the lights flicker on and off. Is there a relay or switch that has gone bad? Thanks for your assistance.

when the hood is open there are two pins that have to be pulled. they have a 90 degree bent end that have to be rotated and pulled directly up. once both are pulled the headlight can be slid out and headlight changed.

check the fusebox, mostly fuses are uite easily recognizable by small icons similar to the icons on the switches on your dashboard, find the one for lighting and verify if it is still proper. If not, replace it.

The daytime running lights run the high beam bulbs at low voltage so it sounds like you need to put the relays back where they were and either replace the low beam bulbs or repair the wiring to them.Also the relay you removed could be defective.

The blinking light is telling you that you have a headlight out, if you look the service light should be coming on when the light stops blinking.
Replace the head light and all should be fine.
