You need a temp limited switch and for the most part its close to the blower motor has a small screw on each side with a plug in the middle give these websites a try www.autozone.com and www.alldatadiy.com if all fails stop by your Jeep dealership in the parts department and they be able to show you what i am talking about and print you off pictures and diagrams showing you where it is located wish you the best of luck Michigan Man.

This is definitely the Blower (Fan) Motor Resistor. A common problem with Chyrsler, Plymouth, Dodge and Jeep vehicles.

My 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee heater only blows air on the high setting, I ohm tested the HVAC fuse under the hood and only get response on 1 leg.
when the blower motor resistor fails the blower switch defaults to the high position. autozone.com has a great tutorial on how to replace the blower motor resistor.

My blower motor now only runs in the "high" postion. I suspect this is just the switch since the blower does run. 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee (198,000)
no that is your blower motor resistor. find it in or near the heater box by your blower motor should have 3 wires going to it remove the connector remove the resistor and replace it, that should solve your problem

My 95 jeep cherokee heater switch on ly works on high
I would try to replace the blower motor resistor first,If that doesnt repair your problem you may wanna try replacing the blower speed switch.The resistor is located under the passenger side of the dash mounted in the heater box.

Heating and air conditioning
The blower motor works on high setting ONLY when the blower resistor is bad. The blower motor resistor is held in place with 2 screws and attached into the heater housing under the right side of the dashboard. You can identify the resistor by the big wires that are connected to the connector. If this heating/cooling system is the auto temp type, the part is a bit high on the price.

Fan motor switch on 98 jeep cherokee only works on high
In many cases this is the result of the blower motor resistor having gone bad. They are often located in the housing that holds the blower motor but I cannot say 100% for sure with the Jeep Cherokee.
