I just purchased a 2003 saturn ion and the radio doesn't pick up stations higher than 99.7, is there something wrong with the radio? Is there anything I can do to fix this on my own? Thanks

check both sides on radio for wiring ways,,, mostly red & yellow to positive,,,,,,black negative,(,both green to speaker,,,both yellow to speaker,,,both orange to speaker)speaker wire colors may be diffferent
Check to make sure the button on the trunk latch is turned from manual unlock...they made that feature so only the key will work to open the trunk that way if someone breaks in the front of your car they can't hit the trunk release and get into the trunk...may be the same thing for your remote. Hope that helps.
the easy way is remove the radio from the dash leave plugged in remove the anttenna wire from the radio stick a small screwdriver in the anttenna socket and see if the recpetion is better you may have to hold the screwdriver with your hand to be a better antenna if so thier is something wrong with your antenna coax or antenna if not doesnt help then the radio is bad internally
dealerships are usually very helpful with pulling the codes and unlocking it. Catch them on a good day and they may do if for free. if not they usually charged about $60..
1. Press and hold RCL button 2. While holding RCL button push left side of AUTO/TONE rocker button until correct hour appears 3. While holding RCL button push right side of AUTO/TONE rocker button until correct minute appears 4. Release RCL button when finished
Or if you have an "RDS" (Radio Data System) you can find a radio station which transmits some kind of text (ie the call letters or song name) you can hold the 'RCL' (timeset) button and push the RDS button. It will attempt to read the time from the data stream and set the clock for you. Otherwise it will say something like 'No RDS time set'. you need to tune a station with RDS - it won't scan them for you.
its a real easy one to fix i had the same problem you just need to take your radio out and then look down on the PLASTIC parts just need to put it back on track
good luck
