Assuming that you don't want to replace the fobs, you can get them working by placing the battery in the cage and then placing the cage back into it's original position. Be sure that both contact points are lined up. You can either tape the whole thing down or use a folded post it note as shim to hold everything tight (trickier to assemble but cleaner). Then carefully snap the whole thing together.
If you are still under warranty, it wouldn't hurt to ask the dealership to replace the fobs. You may even try another GM brand like Chevrolet as they may be more willing to try to catch your business as Saturn winds down.
