Front sway bar link kit, what is the order of installation. all my bushings are rotted away.

Make sure the tire pressures are at the recommended pressure. Check for worn steering/suspension components particularly the front/rear stabilizer links as one or more may be broken.Has the alignment ever been checked rot proper angles?

if you are talking about the sway bar end links. you can replace them yourself to save a few bucks. first Raise the front of the vehicle with a hydraulic jack. Place jack stands under the frame on each side of the vehicle. Lower the hydraulic jack so that the weight of the vehicle is supported by the jack stands and the front wheels are off the ground. locate the sway bar end links on either side of the front sway bar. Remove the bolts from each end of the sway bar end link. replace the bushings in the same order you take them off. you can go to any auto parts store and buy end links for your car.

Sway bars are installed by removing your factory end links and sway bar. Re-install the new bushings and position your new sway bar on the vehicle in the OEM location and secure it with the same bolts.

the sway bar is a bar that runs acrossed the front of the van from strut to strut. It is bolted to the cradel and then has links that run from the bar to the strut to increase stability. The sway bar bushings are rubber mounts that hold the bar down to the cradel. The bar runs though the mounts one each side where the bar and the cradel meet. If they are wore out you will normally hear a clucking noise from the front end when you hit bumps. To remove and replace them there is two bolts that hold a steel cap on top of them on each side. Remove the cap from both sides then the rubber mounts will have a split in them so you can get them off the bar. To install them is just the reverse of the removal. inspect control arm bushings

definitely sounds like a ball joint problem, bushings would not cause it to chew up tires a worn moving mechanical part would such as steering components,wheel bearings,ball joints, and believe it or not shock absorbers

The sway bar bushings are under the large clamps that hold the bar to the frame. The ends of the sway bar are connected to the struts by the sway bar links. When the links wear out, they clunk--not squeak. The bushings are under the retainer in the pic below.

Howdy, sway bar/stabilizer. disconnect neg battery cable, disable air bag (if equipped, it was an option in 91), jack up vehicle, support w/ safety stands, remove front wheels, disconnect sway bar ends from the lower control arms, remove bolts retaining sway bar bushing brackets.remove sway bar. Check bushings for splits and deformation, clean inner and outer surfaces of bushings before installation, Make sure bushings are properly seated in their brackets. Tighten brackets to 12 ft lbs, and end mounts or link bolts to 16 ft lbs. Let me know how u make out countrycurt0
