Sounds like the new one you bought is for the front O2 sensors or before the cat and the one you are wanting to replace is on the back or after the cat. Hope this helps.

Are you sure that have 3 wires? For Nissan say 3 wires.

This is the alterative wire:
Signal + --->> Black -->> Black
Signal - --->>
Heater --->> White -->> Red
Heater --->>White -->> White

Review this information: Bosch Universal O2 Sensor (check the Universal sensor types and color identification )

Hope helped with this (remember rated this help) God luck.

The paperwork with the bosch o2 sensors should have a wiring diagram for splicing the wires.

1996. Which color wires go where?

There should have been an instruction sheet in the box with the sensor. If not, you may have to go back to the store and ask for one.
Most sensor brands are different.

I need to know which wire on the 4 wire oxygen sensor (2 white, one grey one black) is the heat wire on a ford f-150 o2 sensor?

Hello! There are four O2's...Each O2 heater, left and right bank, front and rear, has it's own wire colors...These colors are "at the connector"...First series are the control ground sent by the PCM..
RR=White/Black...RF=Red/White...LR=Tan/Yellow...And LF=Yellow/Light Blue...........This series are the battery leads, hot when fuel pump relay pulls...RR=Violet/White...
RF=Red/Yellow...LR=Violet/White...LF=Red/Yellow...

Replace oxygen sensor for 4cyl 01" Accord - wires don't match

Don't put a universal oxygen sensor in your vehicle. You will have nothing but problems, and you will have to put an OEM one in it anyway.
