Kelli says to move switch for dome light to dome for door activation on '08 Sonata, but I see no such switch. Where is it?

Most likely place for a short is at one of the button switches that activates the light when the door is closed. Remove it and look for damage, frayed insulation, etc., that could cause a short. Start w/ the driver's side button, because that door gets the most use, then move on to other buttons if necessary. Also, if the dome light has a separate switch for it, check that too.

Adjust the dome light switch by moving the switch lever to a different position. If this does not work, either the dome light switch is defective or wires inside the dome light came loose and caused a short across the switch itself.

bulb or fues

There is two switches and they are hot at all times. One is the door ajar and the second one is the headlight switch.

Aren't the door switches in the door jamb or is the dial for the dash lights turned all the way up?

u may have to move the switsh on dome to door u shold hove 3 seting on off and door

The headlights are supposed to turn off when you remove the key and open the door. It happens automatically.

check each door switch mabe they are not earthing properly
sometimes a good twist& wriggle fixes them!

There are levers or switches inside the door jambs which are more than likely sticking.........try moving the levers and if this works shoot some lubrication on them and move them around a bit.
