Disconnect the negative battery cable. Disconnect the positive battery cable (if you have an anti-theft audio system, make sure you have the code).
Drain the cooling system. Remove the intake manifold ( not a real easy task).
Disconnect the starter cable from the B terminal on the solenoid. Disconnect the BLK/WHT wire from the S terminal.
Remove the harness clamp. Remove the harness holder.
Remove the starter retaining bolts. Remove the starter from the vehicle.

SOURCE: Starter location diagram

The starter is on the right side in the front of the engine at the top. Easily seen from opening the hood

the cover is removed straight down, slowly working it with a thin tool or butter knife. WD40 to front and rear edge (there's nothing medial or lateral). The cover has 2 Y clips on each side, one about half way, and one that clips straight off of the hinge post. There are no "tabs". It will eventually unclip straight down. Then can replace with a DE3175 LED bulb (V-LEDs.com)

SOURCE: replace starter in 2004 honda accord

Try 'jiggling' the key while you hold it in the start position' this could be a failed ignition switch.
It could also be that the + terminal on the starter or starter solenoid may be corroded. Since the battery was just replaced, those terminals are probably clean enough but check the negative cable where it attaches to the chassis or block. If the connection is flaky here, enough current can often pass to allow lower current devices to operate but drop too much voltage if the starter is trying to operate. Starters require 100-200 amperes, many times higher than anything else in our vehicles and show up cruddy connections pretty quick.

SOURCE: Where is the starter located in a 2004 honda

I agree with Amy Gwynn. It is located under the intake manifold and it's not that simple to change it or even access it. I don't have over large hands but I can barely even touch to electrical contacts on top of the starter.

A/C blower motor resister 2004 honda accord

Its up near the glove box. Easy job. Don't pay the dealer $250. It cost me around $40 and took about 5-10 minutes to remove and replace. This is the problem 80% of the time and NOT the blower motor.

Starter motor on the 2004 accord turns slowly and the battery is new.

bushes in the motor are warn if it rotates slowly. or slows down then cool off period and its fine. you can replace them but its usually more easier just to change the starter motor, when replacing the motor ask when you get new one if they pay for return of old motor as some places will either give you monies off or money when you bring in old one.

My 2004 honda accord starter seems to not be working. Is there a way to remove it and maybe to clean it to start-up again

hi it does sound like the starter is stuck, there could be a way to free it and find out for sure if it is u/s, what you have to do is, locate starter on your vehicle, depending on its location you can try tapping it with a small hammer or a long bar of sorts, at the same time get someone to turn the ignition at the same time while you are tapping the starter, this should free the solenoid and then the starter should work, if it does, turn the motor off, and try again and see if it works if it does your ok, if not then try the above again, if you have to do it every time you turn the motor off then you will need to replace your starter....hope this helps please vote thanks NOTE!!! make sure you are not near any moving parts when it starts....

Starter for 2004 honda accord

Is this for a 4 or 6 cylinder engine?

If it is for the 4 cylinder, it's not that easy as the intake manifiold needs to be removed before the starter can be removed as the starter is under the intake manifold. Once the manifold is removed then it's a matter of a couple bolts and connections. It's not that quick a job.
