The oil sending unit is in the rear of the motor center right as you face the motor. You almost have to climb up on the motor to see it because it is down on the block. If you remember where the distributor used to be in the rear. The sending unit is just to the right as you face the motor.Good luck.

My oil gauge for my 2006 Chevy silverado v8, 2wd does not work. It reads 0 pressure and stays until at a stop and radically jumps.

Sounds like you need to replace the oil pressure sending unit. Should be located on the engine down by the oil filter.

Oil pressure light stays on even though the oil level is fine

That could be from not having any oil pressure "oil pump failure, clogged filter, etc" or from a faulty oil pressure sending unit. More tests would need to be performed but is it really an oil pressure light or is it the change oil light. More info would be needed

Oil light on 2006 Chevy Aveo but oil levels are fine

The oil warning light is for oil pressure, not the oil level in the engine.
Your owner's manual will explain it in detail.
You need to have the oil pressure checked with a mechanical gauge or replace the oil pressure sending unit to see if it is faulty.
