To access the Bluetooth prompts, press and hold down the large button on the right hand side of the steering wheel. It has a pictogram of a person talking. At the prompt say "bluetooth" and then "help". The car will talk you through it. Alternately, head over to www.gmownercenter.com. This site is run by General Motors and registration gives you free access to your online owner's manual and other materials.
I tryed doing this and it doesnt recognize when i say "bluetooth". Is there another solution to this problem?
I always look for the simplest answer first, so please forgive me if I seem too obvious. Have you confirmed that your Aura is equipped with the 'Bluetooth for Phone' option - RPO Code 'UPF'? You'll want to be sure you see the 'UPF' code on gray/silver SPID label located in the glove compartment.
Early 2009 Auras (even with the PCM Preferred Package) may not have been equipped with Bluetooth for Phone as this option and the USB port on CD player seemed to be a problem for GM and the supplier of the new-for-2009 radios in our Auras (they look the same as 2007-2008 but are different in subtle ways).
