This sounds like it might be the ignition coil, which is most likely inside the distributor cap on your model. Usually when a coil goes bad it will stop firing when it heats up, but once you sit on the side of the road for quite a few minutes, it cools down and will start and drive again for another few minutes, etc. The coil is pretty expensive like most parts for a honda, but it's the first thing that comes to mind given the symptoms you described. Should be worth a try.
Honda had a recall on the distributor itself they dont cover them any more. they are bad about going out i think its just the pick up that goes bad but you have to replace has a unit
