Blend door actuators. If you have the AZC system (automatic zone control) used in the limited (the one with dual digital readouts) you can use the on board diagnostic to read the code. while running, press the a/c and recirc buttons at same time then turn drivers temp control one click clockwise. release a/c and recirc buttons. If you have codes that show up, write them down and google search for these codes. It will tell you exactly what is wrong.

FIRST THING I WOULD CHECK IS UNDER THE HOOD AFTER THE VEHICLE IS WARMED UP FEEL THE HOSES GOING THROUGH THE FIREWALL TO THE HEATER CORE TO SEE IF THEY ARE HOT AND THE SAME TEMP.IF NOT THE HEATER CORE MAY BE PLUGGED.WHEN THE ENGINE IS COOLED YOU CAN UNHOOK THE HOSES AT THE ENGINE AND FLUSH WITH RAD CLEANER AND WATER MIX .POUR IN ONE HOSE AND CATCH IT IN A CONTAINER ITS POISONOUS.THEN POUR BACK THROUGH THE OTHERE HOSE TO FLUSH THE OTHER WAY.YOU CAN FILTER IT WITH A PAINT FILTER OR PANTY HPSE,RINSE WELL WHEN DONE WITH WATER. THIS IS A CHEAP FIRST STEP I HOPE IT HELPS.EFBIL

You most definitely have a broken blend door. Typically the fix for a broken blend door is expensive because a mechanic will remove the entire dash and replace the plenum assembly. There is now a diy kit at www.heatertreater.net which provides instructions on how to replace the broken plastic blend door with steel components, by removing the glove box and making an incision in the plenum box rather than removing the entire dash. The fix saves a lot of time and money, and is worth serious consideration if you have a broken blend or recirc door.

Usually a vac leak. I would check for a leak in the HVAC control system and the line thru the firewall to the engine.

Plenty of air but no heat one side of dash use to blow hot air. Now neither side blows hot air. 2000 jeep grand cherokee coolant is fine driver side seat heater doesn"t work air bag light comes on every...

Check to see that the blend door linkage is hooked up. Doubtful it is heater core, as you had heat to one side and not the other. Check coolant control valve linkage, verify it is moving the coolant valve from off to on when you switch temperature from cold to hot. Verify you have coolant flow to the heater core by feeling the heater hoses where they enter the firewall. If all checks out well, then look at hvac controls individually.

AC, not blowing hot air, only cold air

yes its true, because most probally the termostast is slipping from inside which casues the termost to stay on the same tempreture.

The control for the AC/Heater door isn't working. To have AC the door has to close so that the hot air is not being blown into the car. When this door is closed it allows the cool air to pass through. This is either controled by vacuum or a ele. switch

Check the blower motor under the dash.(on right side put a 12v lead directly to the connection and if it works, the problem may be in the switch relay or resistor pack. (i've also heard of debris holding the fan from moving so if there is power there and motor does not run, remove & check first before buying a new unit.)
