Cd player displays error code in 1999 saturn and the CD is pushed out. Any solutions for this?

One thing about Volvo CD player/changers...they tend to not like burned CDs and even more, burned CDs with labels on them.

I'd suggest against trying to get it out yourself.

You can get it replaced and the dealership should have a form so you can get your CDs sent back.

The loading mechanism has failed, this is the weak point in all CD/DVD players, the only thing you can do is remove the player and send it out to an authorized GM repair station, they are the only ones that have tech manuals and parts to fix the player. One tip is don't have the dealer do the job, they will send it to the repair station and then double the bill to u.

this generally means the laser is either dirty or the cd player is shot, err 01 is a disc reading problem. Try cleaning lens with cleaning disc first if this does not help i would replace the unit with another. i would recommend replacing it with a cheap aftermarket stereo.

We have the same problem with ours the codes are in the owners manual however they tell you to take it to the dealership and that was $50 for them to look at it and $1500 for a whole new stereo. Hope this helps.

Try getting a cd cleaning tool come with a disk with tiny brushes on it and cleaning solution to clean the eye or if you are using burned cds try and see what format you are buring such as mp3s mp4s some cd player only will play a certain formats such as mp3s.
