Just twist them before pulling. If you break any wires, replace the whole set, when putting on wires, put some silicone grease in the boots.
I ordered a nice set of new wires/plugs/cap/rotor and used pliers to yank off the old wires. They really seemed stuck to the plugs. Front plugs you get to from the wheel wells with about 18 inches of extension on the rachet. Just jack up the van and let the front suspension settle. I didn't even pull the wheels off. But there are rubber fender liners you'll have to remove ... its easy though. The rear plugs you get from inside. I had to use a 1/4 inch drive rachet because of the lack of room. Front plugs were much easier. All the plastic wire looms/brackets were brittle and broke quite easilly. It took me a full day ... but then I am an old fart.
