On my 1993 wrangler with a 2 5 if i try to start it it only fires on cylinder 1 and 3 if i shut it off and try again it fires only on 2 and 4 what would cause this

Sounds like a spark plug or distributor problem.... Change out all your spark plugs and check your wires for breaks. Check fuel injectors for build-up.

My jeep is not getting fire what are the possible reasons its not the crankshaft position sensor or the coil.

I think your 2.5 still has a distributor...check for a cracked cap, or cracked rotor...same symptom...hope this helps.

95 jeep wrangler making tractor/old tyme car sound

It sounds like you have a bad valve or a cylinder isn't firing. Pull the spark plugs and check them for deposits and clean, regap or replace. Do a compression check of the cylinders to determine if you have a problem with a valve.

Wrangler 4 cylinder working on 3 cylinder what

You need to find out if you have spark there, if injector is working and if the cylinder itself has good compression. Then, you can work backwards to find out why whatever is "missing" isn't there.

1999 Jeep Wrangler Miss fire

I would do a complete tune up before I did anything else. Some times on chryslers just a bad spark plug can cause a lot of greef. I would start with replacing the plugs (using the bosch platinum plus 2) , wires, distributor cap and rotor. See if this works for you. If not write me back and I can tell you more info..

Also if this doesn't work for you I need to know what motor you have 4 or 6 cylinder engine.

Distrbutor to spark plug wiring

Hey there janandshane,

I've got a 91 Wrangler, lots of fun. Here's your info.

Viewed from above, front of vehicle on the right side, cylinder locations are:
6 5 4 3 2 1 for a six cylinder and 4 3 2 1 for a four Cylinder

The firing order is:
1 5 3 6 2 4 for the six and 1 3 4 2 for the four.

The distributor rotation is clockwise.

To find Top dead center (for wire to cylinder #1 on distributor), look for and line up the timing marks on the crankshaft (front of the engine).

Or, pull the #1 spark plug, stuff the hole with a cork or a rag. Slowly crank the engine until the cork pops out.

Pull the distributor off. The rotor is pointing where the plug for cylinder #1 should go. The rest of the wires go in the firing order clockwise.

That about covers it.

Remember: Good things come to those who rate. How about a nice FixYa?
