I lost power to the mirrors broken wire, under the dash..
So I removed the switch panel on the door, and installed a jumper wire from the door lock circut, to power the mirrors. The green wire is the power supply wire for the remote mirror switch. My mirrors are back working and all is fine.

Remote mirrors do not work.

Try using a jumper wire n test light to see if mirror switch is juiced n transmitting power on & off. If no current thru switch, then may change out. If power is transmitting; do same to mirror silanoid, motor. If direct current to motor & no movement? I ld replace motor. If both check out, then start traceing out wire; cuz its got short in it. Best way; if able or find someone u trust& have em use an Ohm meter. It ll let u know if wires are grounding out n if switch or motor good.

Power Mirror Wiring Schematic 92 Buick Lesabre 1992 thru 1997 & More

Here is a schematic which my dad & I devised over the course of two hours for the power mirror wiring on our 1992 lesabre, as we couldn't find any wiring info to handle this issue.

http://www.iqmetals.com/else/lesabre/

That's our/my website, and that folder will let you see & get all of the pictures & diagrams

The wiring harness for the power mirror switch was acquired through Rock Auto, and the wire lettering scheme was embossed onto the plastic.
Here's a written breakout of the wires & their locations/purposes.

A= Ground
B= Common Left/Right Motion(Splits to both sides)
C= Common Up/Down Motion(Splits to both sides)
D= Left Side - Left/Right Motion
E= Left Side - Up/Down Motion
F= Right Side - Up/Down Motion
G= Right Side - Left/Right Motion
H= Positive 12V

Now Assuming that all of the power mirrors are wired & color coordinated the same, that would connect....
B -- Light Blue wire of Both Mirrors
C -- Green wire of Both Mirrors
D -- Gray wire of Drivers Side Mirror
E -- Dark Blue wire of Drivers Side Mirror
F -- Dark Blue wire of Passengers Side Mirror
G -- Gray wire of Passengers Side Mirror

In our circumstance we hooked up the power and ground inline with the power window Power(Pink) & Ground(Black) wires which are nearby in the door. The fuse/circuit should easily handle the minor load of power mirrors, even if you were using the windows and mirrors at the very same time... a rarity I do suppose.

Outside rearview mirrors not operating

1. Check the fuses first.

2. If the switch doesn't operate either mirror it likely is the switch.

Carefully pry it away from door or dash and check if wires are attached securely.

If they are, check if the contacts are clean - if not, refresh with sandpaper.

Test before replacing.

3. If one mirror works and the other not, suspect either the wire connection inside the mirror or the motor. Remove mirror from its motor by fishing around for the retaining clip (easier done if mirror is turned to the extreme left or right). This will expose the wiring connections and the motor.

If the motor is suspected unscrew the back of mirror and pry off carefully to expose the motor mounting screws. You can then remove the motor and test it with another 12v power source.

Good luck !

Need to know what color 12 volt supply

My manual for a 99 300M shows two sources of 12 volt power to the mirror positioning switch, One is from the battery, switch terminal 11 wire M1, PK (pink). The other is from the start-run 12 volt line, switch terminal 5, wire G5 DB/WT (dark blue, white stripe). If you send me your email address to af6im at arrl dot net I can send you a scanned copy of the diagram.

Color code 91 Buick Electra

Colors will be the same on both ends ( the switch and the mirrors . Unfortunately both left and right mirrors have the same wiring colors. Check electical flow through the mirror switch so as to know which wire controls left mirror and which wire controls right mirror, to insure you don't re-wire in error . Hope this helps
