The fuel pump on this vehicle is not serviced without the module. If the fuel pump needs to be replaced the entire fuel pump module will have to be replaced. The only part of the module that is available seperately is the fuel sending unit for the fuel gauge.

Fuel pump removal on 2000 saturn sl2

Hello,

The fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank. Unless there is an access panel in the trunk or under the back seat, you will have to remove the fuel tank to access the pump.

Good luck.

sounds like the fuel regulator might be bad. it can cause too much fuel at start up. thats why it will start at wide open throttle. more air for the fuel mixture

It could and probably is the fuel pump or filter if it sounds like it's cranking normally but not starting. Hope it helps.
